FAQs

General Studio FAQs

  • Do I need experience to join your classes?

Not at all! Our classes are designed for all levels. Whether you’re brand new to yoga and Pilates or have years of practice, our instructors will offer modifications and progressions to meet you where you are.

  • What should I bring to class?

Bring water, a towel, and your mat (if you have one). We also have mats, towels and props available at the studio if you need them. For heated classes, we recommend a mat towel and plenty of hydration.

  • Do you offer mats, towels and water?

We offer mats and towels free of charge to members, and rentals at a low cost to non-members. We have a coffee bar with a variety of choices for refreshments for purchase, and we also have a fountain if you need a refill, free of charge.

  • What do I wear?

Comfortable, breathable workout clothes you can move and sweat in. For heated classes, lighter fabrics are best.

  • Can I try a class before committing to a membership?

Absolutely! Your first class is always free. We offer drop-in rates and special intro offers, so you can experience the studio before choosing the option that fits you best.

  • How do I sign up for a class?

You can easily reserve your spot through our website or booking app. Walk-ins are welcome if space is available, but we recommend booking ahead.

  • What are my membership options?

We offer flexible memberships and class packs to fit your schedule whether you want unlimited access or just a few classes each month. Find out more on our membership page OR DM us on instagram @thehotmatstudio

  • Can I freeze or pause my membership?

Yes! We know life gets busy. Just reach out to us and we’ll help you adjust your membership to fit your needs. You must do so at least 15 days before your renewal to avoid a charge for the new month.

Our memberships are on a 4 months minimal commitment, once the 4 month has passed you can cancel your membership without penalties for early contract termination. In the case of extenuating circumstances contact hello@thehotmatstudio.com

  • Is there an age limit?

There is an age limit for our studio classes, you must be 16 years old and must be accompanied by a parent at your first studio visit. Clients under 16 years of age must also have a parent or legal guardian sign off on the clients waiver. Questions? Email us at hello@thehotmatstudio.com

  • Can I join if I am pregnant?

Please consult your doctor before attending any of our classes while pregnant. And you would only join the non-heated classes. Email us if you have any other questions at hello@thehotmatstudio.com

  • What if I’m running late to class?

We recommend arriving at least 10-15 minutes before class to settle in and prepare. If you’re running late, please enter quietly and set up with minimal disruption. For heated classes, we do not allow late entry once class has begun for safety reasons, so plan to arrive on time.

  • What if I need to cancel my class?

We understand life happens! If you can’t make it, please cancel your spot at least 8 hours before your reservation. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged a fee or result in the loss of a class credit, depending on your membership.

Studio Etiquette

  • Phones & Devices

Out of respect for your practice and the community, we ask that phones and smartwatches remain silenced and tucked away during class. This is your time to disconnect and recharge.

  • Shoes & Mats

Our classes are practiced barefoot on the mat. Please remove shoes upon entering the studio. Bring your own mat if you prefer, or borrow one of ours. Towels are recommended for heated classes. We are a shoe free studio, there are dedicated spots for your shoes prior to entering the facilities.

  • Hydration & Safety

Come hydrated and listen to your body. Take breaks as needed. This is your practice. We encourage you to move with intention and honor where you are each day.

  • Respect the Space & Each Other

We’re a community built on support and encouragement. Please be mindful of noise before and after class, and help us keep the studio clean and welcoming for everyone.
